Travel north through Mtskheta, Georgia’s ancient capital, visit the Jvari monastery and Svetitskhoveli cathedral, where holy songs echo in stone. Continue along the Georgian Military Road, pausing at Ananuri Fortress and the Gudauri Friendship Monument. Then ascend to the alpine realm of Stepantsminda-Kazbegi and climb to Gergeti Trinity Church, where Mount Kazbek rises like a guardian of legends. Return to Tbilisi.

Today you drive east to Kakheti’s sunlit hills. In Sighnaghi, the “City of Love,” stroll by ancient walls and gaze over the Alazani Valley. Visit Bodbe Monastery, taste vintage wines in Khareba’s cool tunnels, and traditional matsoni yogurt. Finish the day with the 6th-century Alaverdi Monastery, you absorb history, hospitality and the flavours of Georgia. Head back to Tbilisi.
