A small-group journey through Yerevan, ancient monasteries, mountain scenery and Lake Sevan | 2–6 December 2026
This December, BlueTerra invites you to experience those contrasts on a five-day small-group departure from the UAE. Departing Sharjah on 2 December and returning on 6 December 2026, the journey combines city life, heritage and countryside in one considered itinerary. Flights, four hotel nights in Yerevan, breakfast, transport, an English-speaking guide and entrance fees are included, so the key details are arranged before you set off.
A winter journey with a little of everything

Begin in Yerevan, Armenia’s lively capital, with time to settle in and take in its cafés and streets. The next day leads south through the Ararat and Vayots Dzor regions. At Khor Virap Monastery, the landscape opens towards Mount Ararat on clear days. Explore the Areni-1 archaeological cave complex, visit Noravank Monastery among the red-rock scenery, and pause for lunch and a wine tasting in the Areni region.
On day three, travel to Tsaghkadzor, a mountain resort town, then continue to Lake Sevan and Sevanavank Monastery. The route carries on to Dilijan, where forested slopes and the setting of Haghartsin Monastery offer a different mood from the open lakeside. A ropeway ride in Tsaghkadzor is optional; winter activity tickets are not included.
The final sightseeing day brings together Garni Temple, the UNESCO-listed Geghard Monastery and Charents Arch, a well-known viewpoint for Mount Ararat. In Garni Canyon, see the natural formations known as the Symphony of Stones. Back in Yerevan, a guided city and market tour adds time for local crafts and everyday city life. The package also includes two traditional Armenian lunches and a lavash baking experience.
What makes December memorable
December gives Armenia a crisp, atmospheric character. Yerevan is best explored in warm layers, while higher areas can feel much colder and may see snow. Snowfall varies from year to year, so it cannot be promised, but winter scenery is part of the appeal. The itinerary pairs outdoor viewpoints with cultural stops, giving the trip variety even when the weather changes.
Expect a full sightseeing pace, with some walking at monasteries, viewpoints and historic sites. Comfortable shoes with good grip, a warm coat and layered clothing will make the days easier. The tour travels by premium coach with a professional English-speaking guide, and the group format brings shared discoveries without leaving the planning to chance.
A practical way to see more in five days

For UAE travellers looking for a short international break, Armenia brings together several distinct experiences without changing hotels each night. You have a Yerevan base, guided excursions beyond the capital, daily breakfast and the main sightseeing transport arranged. Evenings are free to choose a restaurant or café and discover the city at your own pace.
The December 2026 small-group tour is priced from AED 4,490 per person on twin or triple sharing. A child sharing with two adults is listed at AED 4,190. Rates and space are subject to availability at confirmation. Visa requirements depend on passport nationality and individual circumstances; check eligibility before booking. Travel insurance is recommended and is not included.
